Period delay tablets
The Period Delay Tablets service provides a clinical assessment for people who want to temporarily delay an upcoming menstrual period, for example for a holiday, travel, special event or other planned occasion. A healthcare professional will assess your medical history, menstrual cycle, current medicines and suitability for treatment. Where clinically appropriate, a prescription for norethisterone may be provided. Norethisterone is licensed in the UK for postponement of menstruation. It is not a contraceptive, so appropriate contraception should still be used where pregnancy prevention is required.
